The Association of Volta River Authority Technician Engineers (AVRATE) branch of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) has welcomed the appointment of John Okine Yamoah by President John Dramani Mahama as the Acting Managing Director of NEDCo.

In a release issued in Wa and signed by Sampson Tulley and Wonderlin Komlatse, Chairman and General Secretary respectively, AVRATE-NEDCo noted that the appointment is a clear demonstration of the president’s commitment to recognising and promoting competent professionals from within their ranks.

“As an association of technician engineers, we deeply appreciate this decision, as it not only motivates us but also strengthens our belief that hard work, dedication, and technical expertise are valued in national development,” the statement read.

The association took the opportunity to congratulate John Okine Yamoah on his well-deserved appointment.

“Having risen through the ranks from a Technician Engineer to this esteemed leadership position, his journey serves as an inspiration to many within our profession.

“We are confident that his vast experience, technical knowledge, and leadership skills will greatly contribute to the growth and success of NEDCo,” they added.
