A Facebook post about a woman who allegedly died from taking birth control pills that allows women to have menstrual periods only 3 times in a year, has gone viral.
The post with almost a thousand comments and 5.4 K Shares notes that the pills when taken interrupts life’s menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA approved, it shouldn’t be.
“..She died at 4:30 yesterday and he left behind a husband and two sons: A 2 and a 4 yearr old son. The CAUSE of DEATH we found was a birth control pill she was taking that allows you to only have your menstrual period 3 times a year,” the post read.
The post which was originally shared by Dr Oyebade Obalola Jerry advised women to avoid such contraceptives and deal with their periods once a month so they can live the rest of the months that their lives has in store for them.
This story has garnered a divided response from Facebook users with some calling on men to use withdrawal method while others call for condom use rather than birth control pills with its associated effects.
