Far and advanced procurement processes have been completed for the construction of a 504 state of the art Police flat at Kwabenya in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.
The flat when completed would have a police station, training grounds, gymnasium and other needed facility to help the Police service to deliver well in protecting lifes and property.
The Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Hon. Sara Adwoa Safo disclosed this to journalists when she paid a visit to the Kwabenya Police station.
She said, the government had planned the facility which popped up in the 2018 budget statement presented to Parliament in November.
She said the move was to make sure the Ghana police service had a very good accommodation so that the service can discharge its duties diligently.
She called on the general public to shun away from buying into the propaganda being peddled around by the opposition party.
She also called on the bereaved family to have her condolence and appealed to all to make sure the police is assiated by the public for the apprehension of the alleged criminals.
Armed robbers attacked the Kwabenya Police station in Accra and shot dead a police commander in a dawn invasion.
The robbers also set free robbery suspects who were in the custody of the Police.
The attack occurred Saturday dawn at about 1 am, top police sources have confirmed the stoer.
The development comes on the back of surging attacks on security personnel by suspected criminals in the country.
