Professor Patrick Agbesinyale, an Educationist and Development Consultant, has been appointed the new Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Prof. Agbesinyale replaces Prof. Banoeng-Yakubu, who retired from active public service in August 2017.
A statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Ministry and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday said Prof. Agbesinyale had vast experience in mining and natural resource management.
It said until his appointment, Prof. Agbesinyale was an Associate Professor and the Director of the Institute of Development Studies, University of Cape Coast.
He holds a PhD in Development Planning and Management from the University of Dortmund, Germany, and a Master of Science (MSc.) Degree in Regional Development and Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Prof. Agbesinyale holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Geography with Political Science and Sociology), from the University of Ghana, and has over 25 years experience in the Public Service.
