Play For Honour And Not For Money - Foh-Amoaning

Renowned Legal Practitioner, Moses Foh-Amoaning has charged the players of the national team to play for honour and not money.

Ahead of the international friendlies against Japan and Iceland, reports emerged that some senior players have opted out due to the slash in bonus.

Each player will earn $4,000 for playing the doubleheader.

But according to former Ghana Boxing Association president, it was ridiculous for players to expect the same bonus from playing in competitive games as friendly games but insisted the players should be proud of wearing the national jersey.

“It is an honour to wear the national team jersey for your country, out of twenty-eight (28) million Ghanaians,” he told

“They should apologize to the entire Ghanaian, or else we should be dissolved the Black Stars team and form a new team with the local players.

“If the Black Stars do not change from their money conscious nature, they will never win anything for Ghana,” he added.

The senior national team beat Japan 2-0 in Yokohama on Wednesday before facing Iceland on June 7th.
