Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu made Breman Sompahene

The Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has been enstooled the Breman Sompahene by the chiefs and people of Breman for the 20 years of his service to his constituency, and the nation at large.

Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who is also the Member of Parliament for Suame constituency was enstooled by Bremanhene, Nana Kotie Kutin Sraman II, on Sunday, November 26, 2017 under the auspices of Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The ceremony was attended by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Speaker of Parliament, Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye, wife of vice president, Samira Bawumia, Ministers of state, MPs and other government officials.

Nana Akufo-Addo congratulated the majority leader for his new status as Breman Sompahene.

He said Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu deserved the honour considering his hard work and dedication towards development of his constituency and the nation at large.

According to Mr Akufo-Addo, the Majority leader has been his closest friend since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was formed, and knows what he has contributed toward the nation building hence his presence to witness him being honoured.

The president said he was there to congratulate him and wished that, he [Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu] was not only honoured by the chiefs of Breman alone, but the entire nation.

Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu on his part thanked all the chiefs and his constituents for the honour done him.
