NDC’S Unity walk in Tarkwa postponed

The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer for the largest opposition party in Ghana the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Yaw Brogya Gyenfi has disclosed that, the Unity Walk which was supposed to be held in Tarkwa tomorrow, November 11th 2017  has been postponed.

The NDC’s Unity Walk was supposed to be held in Tarkwa this weekend to unite members of the NDC as they strategize towards the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Yaw Brogya Gyenfi in an interview with Nana Yaa Boamponsem Ameyaw on the morning show ‘Eboboba’ on Homebase TV noted that most of the NDC members supposed to participate in this weekend’s Unity Walk in Tarkwa have personal issues such as funerals and other social events.

The Unity walk has been postponed to 25th November 2017 to allow the members to attend to their personal issues so that no cases of conflict of interest will arise.

When questioned about the absence of two key members of NDC in the previous Unity Walks, the founder and Chairman,  Mr. Yaw Brogya Gyenfi explained that, they had been invited however they were absent from the previous ones because they had to attend to other issues.

Brogya Gyenfi also revealed that, the claims that the Unity Walk was centered on making the former President John Mahama popular hence the obvious candidate for NDC’s flag bearer was false.

Brogya Gyenfi explained that Unity Walk was not to make the former President John Mahama the obvious choice ahead of the other members who had expressed interest for the flag bearer.
