A member of the NDC communications team has stated that the President of the Republic of Ghana and his political party like to show off even its not necessary.

According to him, the way things appear when a party is in opposition is very different when that same party comes to power therefore he expected Nana Addo and the NPP to slow down aftet taking over the seat of government.

Mr. George W. Nash cited that it was not relevant for the ruling party to come out and tell Ghanaians lies about their achievements within the first 100 days in office. This act he said raised the hopes of most Ghanaians and made them expect even more from the NPP government.

“Bawumiah came out and told Ghanaians they made 103 achievements in 100 days, so the people of Ghana expected more from them, not knowing that some of the things they said were not true”, he said.

He also added that, for the President to have even addressed the media just six after assuming office was a mere act of showmanship.

To his view, he expected the President to answer all the questions he was asked instead of them on his Vice President and other Ministers.

He stressed that this was a clear indication that Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo was not on top of issues like he made it look.

Mr. Nash added that the NPP while in opposition thought governance was a child’s play but being in power has really thought them lessons they never knew.
