Head coach of newly promoted side to the Ghana Premier League, Karela United, Johnson Smith believes his side are capable of finishing in the top four if the 2017/18 season that is yet to kick off.
Karela who are in Group A of the ongoing GHALCA G8 tournament, defeated Ebusua Dwarfs by 4:0 in the ongoing tournament at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday and are currently occupying the second position and could qualify for the next round of the tournament in their final match against Medeama SC on Sunday.
According to Johnson, his players are booming with confidence as the relish a successful outing in the upcoming football season.
“Our target for the season is to get to the top four and if even we don’t get there and manage to get a good position, we would like it.
“In our first match against Hearts my players were a bit shaky but after that, they are booming with confidence and I hope we can carry that into the season,” he added.
