Frankfurt, Aug. 18, (GNA/dpa) – Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng on a three-year contract, the Bundesliga club said Friday.
“Prince will give an awful lot to this team,” coach Niko Kovac said. “He brings a huge footballing quality with him.”
Boateng, 30, is the half-brother of Bayern Munich star defender Jerome and represented Ghana internationally. He recently cancelled his contract with Spanish side Las Palmas.
Frankfurt start the new season on Sunday away to Freiburg and Kovac now feels ready for the campaign.
“I am now very happy with our squad,” he said. “An interesting season awaits us. And we will play a good role.”
