Chief Imam Hails Mustapha Ahmed over New Mosque
The National Chief Imam, Alhaji Osman Nuhu Shaributu has hailed the former Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso North Constituency, Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, for donating a new Mosque to the area.
It came to light at the Commissioning of the new Mosque which also houses an Arabic School that the Chief Imam has plans of establishing University college in the Country.
Dr. Mustapha Ahmed told Hbtvghana.com in an interview that the school would employ teachers in Arabic, ICT among other subjects who would also help them solve assignments from their various schools.
The former MP who also doubled as Minister of State at the time and now a business ‘tycoon’ indicated he has more for the area. He said he has got the support of some Arabians from countries like Turkey, Libya, Yemen and so on for the Mosque/School to be completed.
He urged the youth and children to take their education seriously alongside the Arabic education so as to make them beneficial in the society.
The Arabians who want the Islamic studies further expanded in Ghana, pledged more support in development related areas where they may be needed.
They charged a nine member committee charged with the responsibility of the Mosque to ensure that they give the mosque proper maintenance.
They noted that a number of Mosques are not worthy to be used due to poor maintenance; therefore, pleading with the Committee to handle the edifice handed to them very well.
The Arabians also requested for the prayers from Ghanaians for Allah to grant them peace, unity and strength for their countries so that whenever they are called upon assist they would be in the position to offer such.
The commissioning ceremony was also attended by Imams, Chiefs, MP for East Ayawaso; Mc Naza Mahama Toure and many others.
