Chairman Wontomi gives his full support to Nana B

The Ashanti Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has backed the decision of the Deputy Director of National Service (NSS), Henry Nana Boakye affectionately referred to as ‘Nana B’ to contest as party’s National Youth Organizer.

According to the spokesperson of the Regional Chairman Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah, the leadership of the party in the region is in full support of the aspirant because of his affability and dynamism.

“He is affable, dynamic and can do the work” Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah said

He revealed that the regional executives of the party including the Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako are in full support of Nana Boakye to run for position at the national level.

Meanwhile, the coalition of Youth Organisers of the party in the Northern Region have pledged their allegiance to Nana B as the next National Youth Organiser of the party.

At an emergency meeting, the group promised its unflinching support to his candidature indicating that he is best placed as a successor to Sammy Awuku who is seeking to be a National Organiser of the elephant family.

According to them, the party stands a greater chance of benefiting immensely from his wealth of experience as a youth leader in various spheres and having observed how he contributed to propel the electoral victory of the party as a communicator and a field marshal in the run up to the 2016 general elections.

Leader and spokesperson of the group Muctar Fataw disclosed that, they need a unifier and someone who is tried and tested.

“We have found out that among all those who have so far shown their faces, he stands tall and when we mandate him, we are assured the best for the youth front of the party. Many at times the youth front breaks down after congress because some of the elected officers lose touch with the grassroots making it impossible to rekindle the spirit” he added.

Henry Nana Boakye is the current Deputy Director in Charge of operations of the National Service Scheme.
