Chairman of Gold Group of Companies honored

The Executive Chairman of Golden Group of Companies, Mr. David Afriyie has been honored at the just ended ‘Lifetime in a Portrait Awards, 2017’ for his contribution in media and education.

The Life time in a Portrait Awards is an initiative of Change Foundation (ICF), a non-governmental organisation (NGO), to celebrate excellence in governance and recognize the contributions of some private sector players who started from humble beginnings and have contributed greatly to the economic development of the country.

The event which took place at the State Banquet Hall in Ghana was chaired by the President of Pan-African Chamber of Commerce, Nana Dr. Appiagyei Dankawoso.

Mr. David Afriyie the owner of companies such as Homebase TV Ghana, City Gold, Gold Avenue School, Colors Mall and Royal Clinic was honored at the ‘Lifetime in a Portrait Awards, 2017’  to recognize and celebrate his contributions in the media and education sector of Ghana.

Mr. David Afriyie who was dressed in a colorful royal cloth ‘Kente’ was escorted by his beautiful wife Mrs. Tina Afriyie to receive his award.

Other awardees at the Lifetime in a Portrait Awards, 2017 includes Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Mr. Stephen Boateng, Dr. Earnest Ofori Sarpong, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Dr. Daniel McKorley, Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe, Pastor Brain Amoateng among others.

Previous winners of the ‘Lifetime In A Portrait Award’ include Mr. Kufuor, former Presidents John Evans Atta Mills, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, among others.
