The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Commey has denied reports suggesting that the management are yet to pay the players their three-month salary and bonuses.
The astute football administrator in an interview with Kumasi based Kessben FM disclosed that the reports making round are not true and however urged the public to treat with those reports with the contempt they deserve.
“There is no issue about unpaid salary. The players who were complaining about salary were ignorant about the contractual issue. Those complaining about the salary were the players who were out of contract and negotiating for contract renewal.
“At that time, [they] were not part of the club. We were not obliged to pay them. The club can only pay you after renewing your contract but not when you are negotiating.”
Mr Commey also reiterated that their head coach, Yusif Abubarkar’s job is safe.
“Yussif Abubakar is the Head Coach. Nothing has changed. Nothing is being discussed about his future.”
